Orsi Vigneto San Vito

Posca Bianca

Still Skin-Contact

Made from Pignoletto, Alionza, Albana, and Malvasia

Made utilizing a technique similar to the unique Solera system (what Sherry makers use) - a large, old concrete vat is continuously filled with new vintages (dating back to 2010!) while 5-10% of the entire pool is bottled for each release. This results in a very layered wine with fruits and flowers that immediately hit you, with slight undertones that'll make you go *in Austin Power's voice* "It's a bit nutty!".

Best enjoyed over afternoon snacks, and would pair well with your classic charcuterie platter accented with walnuts and almonds. Would also do really well against mushroom-rich dishes.

Tasting notes: Earthy umami notes with well balanced acidity and medium body .

Type: White
Grape Variety: Pignoletto, Alionza, Albana, and Malvasia
Country: Italy
Year: 2020

About the Producer

Orsi Vigneto San Vito in Bologna, Italy is run by Federico Orsi - a Bologna-born, Brazil-bred former MBA-minted consultant who jokingly brought up the idea of buying a distressed vineyard with his family - who seriously responded in the affirmative. Upon purchase, Federico hit the books and taught himself how to cultivate grapes and make wine. Through his studies, he was drawn to the unique approach of biodynamic farming, sought mentors in his vicinity, and after a couple of years managed to create a winery that adheres to the highest standards of natural winemaking.
