Intensely skin-macerated wine with notes of dried fruit, nuts, and earthy spices. Definitely best enjoyed with food, like seafood or charcuterie.
About the Producer
Located in Liguria (famously known as the Italian Riviera), Selvadolce wines are more creamy and luxurious than one might expect from wines made close to the ocean - which is probably a result of the relatively long skin-ageing they practice. A very small estate producing only 10,000 bottles a year, Selvadolce practice biodynamic farming and ferment only utilizing native yeasts.
