Yetti and the Kokonut, helmed by two friends Dave Geyyer (Yetti) and Koen Janssens (Kokonut), is a winery looking to experiment with grapes. Geyyer is incharge of managing the winemaking, whilst Janssens is charged with sales. The two partners met in 2015 and has set forth to experiment with wine in new and exciting ways.
“With their feet in the vineyards and their tongues in their cheek, a new breed of wines were created that, unlike your sketchy friend, needed minimal intervention.”
— A cheeky quote taken from their equally quirky website, Yetti and the Kokonut produces wines from sustainable vineyards across south Australia.
Their creations, as is their name, is colorful and a bit tongue-in-cheek. Don’t let the not so-serious label deter you from taking a sip. In their words, “This isn’t a project trying to distract with a fun name, cute labels and kooky concept (koncept?), but instead two winemakers who are pushing each other to reach new heights – and then base jumping off the damn cliff.”
