Bombvinos Bodega and Exploratory Projects came together to create a DJ booth that brings design and sound into the heart of the Bodega—where wine, food, and music all play in harmony.

At Bombvinos, music is as much part of the night as the food and wine. We teamed up with Exploratory Projects for their knack for blending function, form, and a touch of the unexpected—qualities that felt just right for a booth made to live in the Bodega.

"Keeping the overall floor plan in mind, we wanted the DJ booth to contribute to the flow of the space and run parallel to their angled wall. Leading us to taper one end of the booth, giving it its asymmetric form. We designed the booth to feel visually light, using bent sheet metal as brackets that double as support for the structure and organize records by genre. We introduced accents in Acid orange, serving as a unifying detail to its home. Cutouts on the top surface and metal brackets provide cable management flexibility for various turntable configurations."

"The asymmetric form takes cues from the shape and orientation of their space, creating a piece that is both site-specific and expressive. Designed to function as a stage for DJ equipment while also housing vinyl records, it brings together performance and practicality in one sculptural element."

For us at Bombvinos Bodega, this collaboration was a natural extension of how we approach space and experience — where music, design, and community meet. The DJ booth isn’t just a fixture; it’s a reflection of the Bodega’s rhythm — dynamic, intentional, and made to bring people together. Working with Exploratory Projects allowed us to translate that spirit into form, creating something that feels both functional and deeply personal to our space.
