Dane and Hannah wanted to create wines that first and foremost respect the living. Through this desire, Momento Mori Wines was born. They describe their wines to be the definition of hand-made. They want to craft wines with integrity and at the end of the day, something they would like to drink and share with others.
They run two plots of land. One in Gippsland, Victoria, with the vineyard being 400 meters above sea level, tucked into the steep hill-sides on the Strezelecki Ranges. And another plot of land beneath the Black Snake Ranges in the Tonimbuk valley. Following strict organic rules, this winery always to respect the land and often work with other growers who share the same beliefs of sustainable and natural farming.
